The merger of El Pacifico and Peruano Suiza in 1992 made the new company Peru's largest private multiline insurer, with approximately 30% of the total market, and the largest life insurer. The company is headquartered in Lima, with two regional and 16 provincial offices covering the entire country.
It offers group life and accident products and was the first insurer to be authorized to establish a pension fund administration company (AFP). In March 1994, the company took over the PanAmericana Insurance Co., to further strengthen its leading position in the Peruvian Market.
