Harmonization of criteria to switch from Multipool to Stand-Alone

Effective January 1, 2019, the minimum lives criteria to switch from Multipool to a Stand Alone has been set at 1,000 pooled for death and/or disability benefits, regardless of the pooling system. Please note that this measure has been taken to harmonize criteria across stand-alone pooling systems, and always considering there are 2 countries pooled with death and/or disability benefits. While not mandatory, a client that meets this criteria may request a change to standalone.

The mandatory switch from Multipool to Stand Alone remains unchanged, i.e., 1,500 lives and 400,000 euros in death and disability premiums in 2 countries.

If you reach the minimum criteria but are below the mandatory switch criteria and would like to move to a stand-alone, please reach out to your Account Manager.

Unless Insurope receives an objection by February 28, 2019, this letter will form an integral part of the Multinational Program and confirms acceptance of the 1,000 lives limit for future switches to an alternative pooling system effective January 1, 2019.
